Laura + Zac

Laura and Zac

From Laura Hittie:

Zac and I could not be happier with the staff & service at CWJ! More than 6 months after our engagement, I'm still in awe, daily, of how beautiful (and sparkly!) my Hearts on Fire ring is! We did not feel pressured when we went in to browse, and felt very welcomed even though neither of us had much prior diamond knowledge. I gave some input as to my likes & dislikes, but Zac did a lot of research, had excellent help from the CWJ staff (including Jessica & Chris), and picked a ring that was absolutely perfect for me! It's also comforting to know what a quality ring & diamonds I have (from the Hearts on Fire collection). After the proposal, Zac was excited to tell me about the whole process, and conveyed to me how pleasant & easy it was, especially with the help of such an exceptional staff. We deeply appreciated the congratulatory gifts/offers and the shared excitement when we came back in as fiancées! I love stopping in to get my ring cleaned, have gotten some great recommendations while wedding planning, and look forward to continuing to do business with CWJ in the future! Thank you for everything!!!

Caring For Your Jewelry

Hearts On Fire ring and band

At CWJ we offer a special service to help your fine jewelry retain its beauty, luster, and shine, ensuring a lifetime of enjoyment! Fine jewelry should be regularly cleaned and inspected by a professional jeweler to ensure that stones are securely set and to remove dirt and oils that diminish your jewelry's brilliance. We recommend that you bring in your jewelry every three to six months, to give you peace of mind to wear your jewelry with confidence. As always, our clean, check and polish service is available at no charge for jewelry purchased from CWJ!

A Few Basic Rules of Jewelry Care

•Apply makeup before putting on jewelry. Chemicals in cosmetics, hairspray, perfumes and lotions can often damage metals, pearls and other types of jewelry.

•Put jewelry on after dressing to avoid catching on clothing and possibly loosening stones.

•Remove jewelry when working in the kitchen, garden, or while cleaning.

•Don’t wear jewelry while playing sports or lifting heavy or abrasive objects to avoid dislodging a stone or bending the setting.

•Avoid wearing jewelry in swimming pools and spas. Chlorine can react with metals causing color and structural damage.

•Separate pieces of jewelry when storing them. Contact can lead to abrasion.

•Heat can fracture gems. Store gemstone jewelry in a temperate location.

•Fine jewelry should be regularly cleaned and inspected by a professional jeweler to ensure that stones are securely set and to remove dirt and oils that diminish your jewelry’s brilliance.

•Always make sure that drains are closed if jewelry is being cleaned in a sink in the event stones become loose from their settings.

Caring for your Diamond Jewelry

Between professional cleanings, your diamond jewelry should be cleaned every week or so. It can be soaked overnight in an ammonia based household cleaner like Windex or a commercial jewelry cleaner, followed by a gentle brushing with a soft toothbrush. Special attention should be paid to the area around the setting where dirt is most likely to collect. Rinse with water and wipe dry with a soft, lint-free cloth. Never use chlorine bleaches, abrasive cleaners, or toothpaste as they may corrode or loosen the metal setting.

Caring for Gemstone Jewelry

To clean softer gemstones, use a commercial jewelry cleaner or water mixed with a small amount of dishwashing soap as a cleaning solution. Gently wash the jewelry with a soft cloth or clean brush, then rinse with water and dry.

Hannah + Ryan

Couple kissing

Just wanted to thank Christopher Williams Jewelers for helping my fiance (Ryan) pick out the most perfect engagement ring for me. I truly couldn't have picked out anything better myself. Ryan said CWJ was nothing but polite, exceptional and more than helpful in his process of picking out and purchasing my ring. They offered tons of choices and price ranges to create a ring for any taste. Following our engagement we received cute gift bags with and "his" and "hers" mugs and other cute accessories. When it came to getting my ring resized I had loads of questions (that were all answered thoroughly). When I received my ring back it not only fit perfectly but also looked perfect. With every visit to the store it truly feels like we know each of the staff members personally. This is entirely process was more than you could ever get (or expect) from a mall or large-chain jewelry store. I am so thankful Ryan chose CWJ. Overall I highly recommend anyone looking for an engagement ring (or any jewelery, really they offer pretty much anything) to look no further than to CWJ!
